Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby shows off Mitch tattoo & sunkissed skin

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby gave fans a closer look at the tattoo she recently had done in a tribute to boyfriend Mitch Jenkins.

Earlier this year, Charlotte rekindled her romance with former flame Mitch and it seems this time round their relationship is going from strength to strength.

So much so, that the brave Geordie even got a new inking dedicated to her beau etched onto her skin. In her latest Instagram post, Char gave her followers a better look at the tattoo, sitting pretty just above her elbow.

In her new snap, a beautifully bronzed Charlotte can be seen posing for the camera. Leaning on her arm that is home to her new body ink, the 24-year-old is all smiles as she sits with the arrow design – featuring Mitch’s initial – firmly on display.

Despite having said she regrets getting the tattoo, Char definitely hasn’t had second thoughts about getting back together with Mitch.

Gushing about her other half last month, Charlotte insisted she will love Mitch “forever”, explaining that he is her lobster.

She said: “Mitch is my soul mate. I do feel like he may be my lobster. He’s my best friend. I’ll love him forever.”

Charlotte Crosby reveals extent of sunburn on girls

Charlotte’s latest selfie comes as she is currently holidaying in Cape Verde with Sophie Kasaei and Holly Hagan.

And while you may have thought the girls would be on a wild week away, it seems they have ditched the jagerbombs for workouts on the beach, hikes along the seafront and relaxing evenings in the spa instead.

Enjoying her time in the sunshine a little too much, Charlotte revealed a nasty-looking sunburn on her face earlier this week. But after some much needed TLC it seems her sun-scorched skin has finally settled and she’s now sporting a much healthier-looking golden glow.

Ahead of her flight back home tomorrow, the starlet tweeted: “Last day in paradise don’t wanna leave @TheResortGroup this place has been beautiful start to finish #MeliaDunas.”

Oh, we so wouldn’t want to leave either!

Esserman, Senators call for ban on armor-piercing bullets

New Haven Police Chief Dean Esserman, Sen. Richard Blumenthal LAW ’73 and Sen. Chris Murphy are urging the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to renew its attempt to ban M855 armor-piercing bullets.

Earlier this month, the ATF proposed a ban of M855 “green tip” rounds — which can be fired from some handguns and can penetrate bulletproof vests — but they withdrew that proposal after receiving widespread criticism from members of the public, congressional Republicans and the National Rifle Association. In response, Esserman and Blumenthal held a press conference on March 13 to encourage people across the state to write to Congress and to the ATF in support of the ban.

“[Police chiefs] worry every day and every night about the safety of our officers. An officer who wears a bulletproof vest should be one who has a sense of some safety,” Esserman said during the conference. “A bullet that can pierce a bulletproof vest can also pierce their body. It’s just something that none of us can accept.”

Blumenthal told the News that the ATF had succumbed to pressure from a small minority of Americans opposed to the ban and that the purpose of the press conference was to ensure that the ATF hears from the “vast majority of Americans who agree with common-sense measures” such as the regulation of armor-piercing ammunition.

A proposed ban would prevent manufacturers from producing, selling, importing or distributing M855.

The ATF announced the withdrawal of their proposal for an indefinite amount of time. ATF Public Affairs Chief Ginger Colbrun said in an email that the withdrawal was motivated by widespread criticism of the ban.

“Although ATF endeavored to create a proposal that reflected a good-faith interpretation of the law and balanced the interests of law enforcement, industry and sportsmen, the vast majority of the comments received were critical of the framework, and include issues that deserve further study,” Colbrun wrote.

M855 rounds were originally produced for the military and were later adopted by civilians for sporting purposes. The majority of armor-piercing bullets are already banned under federal law. However, the Gun Control Act of 1968 allows for the exemption of armor-piercing ammunition that the Attorney General determines “primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes” — such as M855. The ATF recently proposed banning M855 because it is now used in some handguns, which were not commercially available in 1986 when the ammunition was granted exemption from the federal ban.

Catherine Mortensen, a spokesperson for the NRA, characterized the attempted ban as “backdoor regulation,” stating that Blumenthal and Murphy are urging the ATF to ban the bullets because they know any attempt to ban the ammunition through legislative action would fail.

“They’re doing this because they’re desperate, and they don’t have the will of the American people on their side,” she said.

According to Mortensen, 239 members of the House of Representatives and 52 members of the Senate signed letters to the ATF opposing the ban. Mortensen added that no law enforcement official has ever been killed by M855.

In response, Blumenthal said in an email to the News that police have sound reason to be concerned about the ammunition.

“Chief Esserman told me that he worries every day and every night about the safety of his officers,” he said. “I fully understand his concern since there are bullets being sold — legally — capable of piercing his officers’ bulletproof vests. For police in New Haven, and in all communities across the nation, we simply cannot wait for tragedy to act here.”

Under the proposed ban, gun owners who had purchased the bullets before the ban could continue to own them legally.

Academy of Responsible Tattooing Hosted An Open House at Their Los Angeles Location

The Academy of Responsible Tattooing, a tattoo trade school and shop, hosted an open house at its Los Angeles location to encourage hopeful tattoo artists to join its unique, innovative apprenticeship program

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) March 24, 2015

On Sunday, March 8, the Academy of Responsible Tattooing held an open house at its Los Angeles shop to generate interest for its tattoo apprenticeship program and to give hopeful tattoo artists an inside glimpse at the industry.

Christina Seeber, Marketing Manager, said all were welcome to attend the event, which featured talks and discussions from Guy Prandstatter, founder and co-owner, as well as Martin Dare, LA shop manager.

“Attendees got to meet the founder of the company and hear him talk about becoming a tattoo artist, about the industry — that’s not something every tattoo shop offers,” said Seeber.

The main message Prandstatter and Dare hoped to send at the open house revolved around the difference a quality tattooing education can make in one’s career, and how the Academy of Responsible Tattooing can provide that education.

“If you don’t have a solid education to back you up, then you can’t be a truly great tattoo artist,” Prandstatter explained. “There is no formal education when it comes to tattooing. A lot of tattoo shops won’t even ask if you know how to tattoo — as long as you have a license, you can tattoo.”

Seeber agreed that an education is what makes the difference when it comes to becoming a tattoo artist. The Academy of Responsible Tattooing’s apprenticeship program gives aspiring tattoo artists the tools they need to build successful, lasting and fulfilling careers.

“A.R.T. follows the traditional apprenticeship model by providing students a one-on-one education with a working tattoo artist, in a real tattoo shop, with an organized curriculum and guaranteed placement upon completion,” Seeber says. “Our mission — to ensure that neither time nor money should ever get in anyone’s way of achieving their dreams — has fueled us to find a way to make the art of tattooing available to anyone with a passion for this profession.”

The Academy of Responsible Tattooing also boasts a unique graduate placement program for its apprentices — every single apprentice is guaranteed a job after finishing his or her education. Seeber says this is a testament to the high level of education that the Academy of Responsible Tattooing is able to provide.

“We honor centuries of tradition by guaranteeing to hire every single graduate of our Tattoo Apprenticeship Program,” Seeber says. “We are the only tattoo trade school in the country, and maybe even the world, that has successfully achieved this, while at the same time ensuring that our graduate tattoo artists can deliver beautifully-executed tattoos to our shop clientele.”
