Woman arrested for underage piercing - News - The Register-Mail - Galesburg, IL

GALESBURG — Police arrested a Galesburg woman Wednesday afternoon for piercing the naval of a 12-year-old girl without parental consent.

Officers were notified of the incident about two weeks after the unlawful piercing occurred. The girl told police Candy Lee Beatty, 43, had performed the piercing at Beatty’s Lyman Street residence.

Beatty was arrested for piercing the body of a minor and issued a notice to appear in court.

Badass grandma sneaks out of senior center to get tattoo

A plucky granny showed her true colors when she bolted from her senior center to get a tattoo – and complained that getting it wasn’t painful enough.

Great-grandmother Sadie Sellers, 79, went AWOL from her home to get inked for the first time along with granddaughter Samantha, 22, in Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

Her son, Tony, was stunned when he showed up to visit her and found her empty wheelchair in the room.

But all the retired civil servant wanted was a tat and didn’t care what her family would think of it.

“I don’t f—ing care!” the saucy senior told Mercury Press.

She also won the hearts of the vastly younger clients of Studio Seventy-Six when she decided to get a tattoo of a heart on her arm.

But she wasn’t happy that the procedure wasn’t painful.

“I never felt a thing. He just laughed at me,” she said about the artist, artist Ciaran Ward.

“When you get to my age, you just have to live life to the full every day,” she said. “I was talking about it with Samantha for a couple of weeks and she showed me hers. She came in one day after her holiday and I just thought, ‘Well I’ll get one too.’”

But it was no laughing matter for her son, who went searching for his missing mum.

“She’s been in the care home for about a year now and she’s only been out twice before, both times with my daughter,” said Tony, 57.

He was stunned by what he saw when he finally found his mother.

“I went in all I saw was three big lads in their 20s covered in tattoos, and there in the middle was mum getting one herself,” he said. “They all thought she was fantastic. She was laughing and giggling the whole time.”

Last month, Kendall Jenner got a tattoo. It’s a tiny tattoo, hardly bigger than a freckle, and it’s on the inside of her middle finger, and it’s in white ink, so that the tattoo looks like Kendall spilled Wite-Out on her hand and failed to notice–but it’s a tattoo nonetheless. But that might have been just the beginning of Kendall’s summer: now, it looks like a Kendall Jenner nipple ring might be the newest fashion development for the 19-year-old. Reports are rampant–but are they accurate?

Several sources are reporting Kendall Jenner nipple ring sightings. TMZ was first out of the gate with the rumor, stating that Kendall had gotten the jewelry recently and had also taken to wearing it to red carpet events–including the ESPYs, at which father Caitlyn Jenner was celebrated with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. The site claimed to have spotted “a faint trace of what looked like metal balls in the nipple area.” Furthermore, they pointed out, Kylie’s already on record with a nipple piercing, having gotten hers earlier this year.

Later, the UK’s Mirror advanced the claim, stating that Kendall was hiding her piercing in a tiny orange bikini–the very one at the top of this page, which Kendall shared a photo of on Instagram only hours earlier. The Mirror was quick to suggest, though, that it might have been tougher to see the piercing through the crimson dress Kendall wore to the Paper Towns premiere earlier in the weekend.

And the Daily Mail further acknowledged nipple ringitude, though that publication added the caveat that said piercing is “difficult to detect.”

Difficult is right–depending, of course, on how long you’re willing to squint. All of the photographs attached to this article are from the past week. Do you see a Kendall Jenner nipple ring–or any other kind of piercing? Or is this all just more fodder for gossip?

Brad Pitt is trying to catch up with his wife when it comes to tattoos!

The actor was spotted out in Los Angeles this week sporting some brand new ink on his forearm — and it’s definitely got something to do with his large, blended family.

The piece features a two-column chart, one side with the letter “A” at the top and the other with the letters “M,” “P” and “Z.” While he hasn’t spoken out about the tattoo yet, many are speculating that the “A” is for Angelina, while the three other letters represent Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

It’s clear there are additional letters after the “Z,” so we can only assume Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne have some representation on there as well.

Pitt is no stranger to tattoos. He has one in honor of the largest sequoia, another of Angelina’s birthday on his hip and a poem from Jalal ad-Din Rumi on his arm reading “There exists a field, beyond all notions of right and wrong. I will meet you there.”

He also has an outline of Otzi the Iceman on his arm and some drawings on his back that Jolie drew on him one night in Davos, Switzerland.

“He just liked it! The picture everybody saw was kind of awkward, but it just lines up beautifully on his back, just enhances the part of the body I like,” Jolie revealed back in 2008.

Jolie herself is also known for her ink, including the coordinates of Pitt and their children’s birthplaces.
