Urban Meyer might be making a permanent change.

The Ohio State coach promised his players he’d get a tattoo if the team won the national championship, according to USA Today’s Nicole Auerbach . Well, the Buckeyes won, and now he has to pay up.

“The first thing that went through my head (after Monday night’s win) is, Coach Meyer’s getting a tattoo,” tight end Jeff Heuerman said.

According to Auerbach, a design already is on the mind of Meyer — Ohio State’s Block O logo. And just in case Meyer thinks about backing out, Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa will be there to make sure it gets done.

“I’ll be here bugging him about it until he gets it. I’ll go with him (to the tattoo parlor). I’ve already got my Block O,” Bosa said. “We have core values, and honesty is one of them, so he better not be lying.”

Louisville coach Rick Pitino made a similar promise a few years ago and followed through.

Coach Meyer, you’re up.
