Zayn Malik Just Got A Facial Piercing And A Dramatic Haircut, So Even His Look Is Going In A New ...

Think back, for just one moment, to your last breakup. What did you do to get over it? Let me guess: you called your mom to cry, your best friend to rant, and your hair stylist to scream, “I NEED TO SEE YOU RIGHT NOW.” There’s just something about a total hair transformation that is so healing post-breakup. #NewHairNewYou, amirite?

Considering that Zayn Malik has just gone through one of the most well-publicized breakups of all time, is it any wonder that he decided to shave off all of his glorious hair? How better to send a message to the entire world that he’s totally moved on from his years as a member of One Direction, the boy band whose most famous assets are undoubtedly their beatiful heads of gravity-defying hair?

Zayn debuted his new look last night at the 2015 Asian Awards in London. Here’s a picture of the singer, his freshly shaven head, and his beautiful mother, Trisha:

What do you think? Are you a fan? I’m into it! Zayn looks more mature without all of that long hair, which makes me feel better about having an enormous crush on him. So thanks for taking my feelings into consideration here, Zayn. This buzzcut also allows us all to get a better look at his face, which I greatly appreciate. And really, hiding a face like that behind a ton of hair is kind of a crime against humanity, don’t you think?

Oh, and speaking of Zayn’s face, he recently decided to decorate it with some new jewelry. Photographers at last night’s event were quick to spot the singer’s brand new nose ring, which he debuted on the red carpet. Here’s a shot of the hardware:

Thoughts? I think it’s pretty cute! When it heals up and he’s given the go-ahead to change the piercing, I think Zayn should do a small gold hoop, à la Lenny Kravtiz.
