Breastfeeding/piercing

Breastfeeding/piercing

Hey ladies, quick question, I’ve had my nipples pierced through the nipple and haven’t had a ring in for about a year and some change. Have any of you moms had any trouble breastfeeding?

I’m going to try to use nipple shield so I don’t Have to take them out I’ve been pumping with them (to induce labor ) . With no issues so far

I took mine out the day I gave birth while I was in labor and nursed my son without any difficulty.

I took mine out before i got pregnant. They were out about a year+ from the time I took it out to when I had my baby. I’ve had no problem, milk just cones out the holes. You just wouldn’t keep them in while nursing. I almost put mine back in but then decided I didn’t want to take them in and out multiple times a day every day.

are they not closed? or are you wanting to know if having jewelry in will make it hard?

If they’re not closed, I don’t know what to tell you.

If you do put rings back in, make sure the balls are on tight so the baby doesn’t swallow them

A year? Wouldn’t it close up? Mine closed in two days and I had them for years.

I am in the same boat but still pregnant with my first. I have done lots of research and found that everyone says it shouldn’t cause a problem. I don’t see how it could possibly not affect it but I guess I can let you know in March when I’m due 😊
