Excuse the way it looks lol. I’ve been drinking coffee & just realized my tongue is splitting where my hole is. Is this normal? I’ve had it for two almost three months now.

I work in the dental field. I would urge you to take it out. Tongue piercings collect plaque and can contribute to gun disease just like your teeth (and I bet you don’t take it out and clean it twice per day). They can also chip your teeth, cause injury to the mouth and tongue, and cause this splitting that you see here (which can worsen and become painful). You can become much more succeptable to mouth sores, to boot. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth it.

Sa:  good thing i saw this. i forgot it can damage your teeth.

I have had mine for 12 years now and I have ripped my open before and it just stayed like that ever sence. I can’t seem to get a good enough picture to show you. I wouldn’t worry unless it starts becoming painful.

Mine doesn’t look like that either. Your probably pulling on it too much.

No its not normal. I’ve had mine for 4 years and it doesn’t look like that at all.

Mine did this, combo of it trying to heal and pulling around as you talk/move your tongue. It will

Probably settle in after a few months

He said it could be infected have you been rinsing with antiseptic mouthwash?

Normal but. …your playing with it tooo much. I have mine gaged so mine doesn’t look like that any more.

looks like it’s rejecting. I’ve had mine for 4+ years and it looks pretty normal. maybe you should go ask them where you got it pierced.

I’ve had mine for about 10 years mine never did this have you googled it I always Google shit but than again that gives you false info as to certain things let me ask my piercer I’ll get back to you
