A Melbourne man on holiday in Thailand who decided it would be a good idea to have friend’s name tattooed on his buttocks after a boozy night out was shocked to discover it was spelled incorrectly.
Nick Murphy and Harrison Truelove headed into a tattoo parlour on Bangkok notorious Soi Cowboy’s strip to get a permanent reminder of their trip on Wednesday.
They opted to have each other’s surname inked on their buttocks, while Mr Murphy also chose to have a lyric from Adele’s ‘Hello’ single tattooed.

Two friends from Melbourne decided to get each other’s name tattooed on their buttocks after a boozy night out in Thailand
Unfortunately for the boys on tour, Jeremy – the Thai tattoo artist – didn’t double-check the spelling of ‘Truelove’ before he inked Mr Murphy and wrote ‘Trueidve’ by mistake.
‘A few of us went in to this pretty dingy tattoo studio and Nick went first… we sort of realised Jeremy wasn’t too flash when he started the tat,’ Mr Truelove, 23, told Daily Mail Australia.
‘He then put a random “i” in there, and my mates and I just p***ed ourselves and let it happen.
‘It got funnier when the “d” was completed and Nick finally realised when he looked in the mirror. We were all in hysterics.’

Despite the mistake, both friends were quick to joke about the tattoos on social media
Mr Truelove also said his friend has taken the spelling mistake in his stride, and he didn’t plan on having it fixed.
‘He thinks it is better than getting ‘Truelove’, the Melbourne man said.
‘He’s calling himself ‘the myth’.’

He also said Mr Murphy may have gotten a slight discount for the tattoo, but they ‘weren’t too expensive in the first place’.
The friends posted pictures of their tattoo experience on social media, and were quick to poke fun at the mistake.
‘When u (sic) get ur (sic) best mates surname on ur (sic) a** and Jeremy is dyslexic…Bangkok baby,’ Mr Murphy wrote on Instagram.
